WHO WE ARE

We are visual storytellers with nearly two decades of experience who focus on organic moments while highlighting a sense of space and showcasing your beloved communities authentically.

It’s your celebration and we want you to be present for every second of it.

“A single photograph is a mere fragment of an experience and, simultaneously, the distillation of the entire body of one’s experience.”

Shomei Tomatsu

For the introverted camera shy, your comfort is our priority before we even start shooting.

We photograph discreetly with an emphasis on candids so from the moment you first see each other to that last sweaty song on the dancefloor, you’ll be relaxed and focused on one another and won’t even notice we’re there.

We always:

  • anticipate when to step in and when to hang back and let the instance unfold naturally

  • help figure out a stress-free timeline to keep the day flowing including formal group portraits that are often hard to wrangle on the spot

  • love using natural light and wide open spaces to compose captivating scenes

  • listen with intention and offer supportive suggestions

Most importantly, we’ll remind you to slow down, breathe and take it all in.

OUR work has been FEATURED IN:

“I look at our photos all the time and they bring me right back to that weekend. She captured us as we were—the energy, the in-between moments, the overwhelming feelings of joy.”

GIVING BACK

We are advocates of environmental conservation, women’s health, LGBTQIA+ rights and racial equality, and donate a portion of monthly profits to the Southern Poverty Law Center, ACLU, Human Rights Campaign, Planned Parenthood and the Sierra Club.

We believe in investing in our communities and giving back so we offer Give Back Mini Sessions as a way to get our couples involved as well.

Vivian was a founding contributor of By And For, a creative collective of BIPOC photographers who are committed to the work of social justice activism and community building through acts of service. She is also a contributor for Redwoods Magazine and works closely with Save the Redwoods League to help preserve these ancient Northern Californian giants. As a Taiwanese-American immigrant, she understands the importance of cultural representation and strives to capture love in all its beautiful dimensions.
