Point Reyes Wedding » Inverness, california » Erin Prado for VCP

Katie and Cade crafted a summer wedding that authentically reflected their love for the outdoors. As avid backpackers, they chose an off-road ceremony at Point Reyes National Seashore—a location holding special significance since Cade had proposed in a small cave at Kehoe Beach with a ring they designed together. Traveling from Texas, they created an intimate destination celebration that incorporated thoughtful personal touches honoring both their families and the close friends who had become their chosen family.

Under bright sunshine and gentle breezes, their perfect day began with a private first look near Drakes Estero, where the couple savored moments together amid Point Reyes' breathtaking landscapes. Guests then gathered in a hilltop eucalyptus grove, where friends provided music as everyone mingled before the ceremony. The personal service featured a close friend as officiant, while others shared poems and wisdom before Katie and Cade exchanged their heartfelt vows and rings.

While guests made their way to the private residence rented for the evening celebration, the newlyweds lingered for additional portraits throughout Point Reyes, immersing themselves in the stunning scenery. They later joined their loved ones for cocktails followed by a delicious catered dinner in the backyard. As the sun descended below the horizon, the evening culminated with touching speeches and dancing on the porch—a perfect conclusion to their nature-inspired celebration.
